Attorney Alysha R. M. Anderson
Ms. Anderson graduated from Lakota High School in West Chester, Ohio in 1995. Right thereafter, she attended University of Cincinnati and studied criminal justice and political science. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1999. She is a member of the Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor Society. She continued her education at Northern Kentucky University at Salman P. Chase College of Law in Highland Heights, Kentucky and began the study of law in 2001. While attending the evening program in law school, Ms. Anderson worked full time at a law office in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio primarily focusing on Worker’s Compensation, Medical Malpractice and Auto Accidents for a period of four (4) years. She completed her studies at Salmon P. Chase College of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctor in 2005. Upon graduation, she sat for and passed the Kentucky Bar Examination and was admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2005. In February 2006, Ms. Anderson sat for and passed the Virginia Bar Examination and was admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Ms. Anderson started her career in the Commonwealth of Virginia primarily handling misdemeanor and felony criminal defense and domestic law at a private firm in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. In 2007, she moved to Kenton County, Kentucky to be an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney at the Kenton County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office in Covington, Kentucky. Here she practice for five (5) years prosecuting felony cases which includes rape, murder, assault, theft, and drug possession and trafficking cases. In 2012, Ms. Anderson shifted her practice focusing on criminal defense and domestic law. She currently handles divorces (contested and uncontested), custody, parenting time, child support, juvenile advocacy, dependency, neglect and abuse cases, adoptions, domestic violence, legal separation, misdemeanor and felony criminal defense, driving under the influence and other traffic offenses. She has experience in mediations and trial practice. Currently, she practices in Boone, Campbell, Kenton, Pendleton, Grant, Bracken and Gallatin Counties in Kentucky. She is hoping to be admitted and practicing law in Ohio in the near future.
Ms. Anderson is married and has three (3) children. She resides in Piner, Kentucky. She enjoys reading books, spending time with her family and spends most of her spare time running to and from soccer and basketball games with her children.
